What is APICSA
APICSA is the acronym of Asociación Psicológica Iberoamericana de Clínica y Salud, an international association directed mainly to the Spanish and Portuguese speaking countries, that is, the Ibero-American countries, Spain and Portugal, plus the Spanish and Portuguese speaking people around the world (e.g., people from USA, Philippines, and so on).
The Ibero-American Psychological Association of Clinical and Health issues (APICSA) is an association whose objective is to bring psychologists and other Ibero-American professionals who study or work in the areas of clinical psychology and health psychology from a scientific perspective, mainly behavioral or cognitive-behavioral
The exchange of information, experiences, research, publications, etc. among all the people interested is one of the key goals of APICSA. In these days when information and the exchange of ideas are so important, an association that can serve the interests of Ibero-American psychologists is necessary.
The Association has mainly scientific purposes and promotion of clinical and health psychology from a scientific perspective. Internet is an important communication vehicle of APICSA; new technologies can achieve an exchange of information among all members much more quickly and safely.
The Association has national representatives in many of the Ibero-American countries and holds its congress approximately every two years in one of these countries. APICSA members enjoy special registration fees. Likewise, they receive free of charge the journal Behavioral Psychology / Psicologia Conductual (International Journal of Clinical and Health Psychology).
